Day off today as the new baby is here. The wife gave me a pass out to play but the weather is horrendous AGAIN!
With strong winds and rain, is it worth a trip to the range?

If you go to the range at least you will see how far you are carrying the ball by the splash it makes, not great just trying to find a positive amongst the horrible weather. Congrats on your new arrival BTW.

Help.......
The mother and grand mother in law have just turned up with my nephew and my other daughter is just back from Nursery!!

You could always say that you have just been invited out by a mate for 9 holes, but turned it down on the basis of looking after your visitors - should get major points for that one

Can't help but feel this thread is exposing the shallower side of our personalities!

:whoo: I've got another 2 weeks of this.
If I said that my wife would say "Yeah right"
I'm now missing work:confused:

With 3 kids, my tactic has been to convert tham all to play, then at least I am thanked by my wife when I take them all up the range and she can take some time out - trouble is you are a little while off that stage

I wish you luck over the next couple of weeks, I look forward to further updates via the forum

you do realise when you have a baby, the maximum number of brownie points you can get is 1? no matter what you do, you only get one pass so use it!

To be honest, you've made a mistake having a baby in February ;) Our 2nd was born in October and I've cunningly not played any golf since then so that I can rack up huge brownie points ahead of the season starting - with any luck, I've done enough over the winter to secure my playing privileges for this season :)

If I were in your shoes, I'd save it until the weather improves a bit. Better to have a free pass when it's sunny than to waste it in this weather.

Edit: congratulations by the way
