Less involvement not more required..... We want to test the complete skill of the golfer not the caddy. Otherwise it changes the whole dynamic of the game. These guys get millions to get this right and win. If the caddy gets more involved in the game what are we going to do... pay the caddy 40% of the take?? Yes we see them as a team I suppose but only one man executes the actual shot or putt. You allow lining up where does it end? Next the caddy will be walking up to the player holding his hand shifting his position ( left a bit.... right a bit...) and the game is going to disappear into a 7 hour mindless bore!!! Theres already far to much faffing about!! Def no I say. :( Steve Williams already thinks he's multi major winner as it is! We dont need any more.

Honestly? Who gives a hoot? I wanted to write the F word but would only be told off. Is this a poll for polls sake? Zzzzzzzzzz

Can't say I've ever seen any of these caddies slow the game down. Just takes no time at all. Wiping the clubs/grips adds more time to a round of golf than this does.

Are they actually doing anything apart from looking though? As far as I can see it's just a final check because I have honestly never seen a Pro re-align himself on the caddies advice having taking his stance. Maybe I've just missed it.

they must cut it out of the tv broadcast as it just wastes sooooo much time !

I voted no purely because I don't like seeing it - no reasoning as to it being too much of an aid or a real time waster.

Who cares? This isn't the real reason for slow play on the tour, and it sure as hell isn't the reason there are 5 hour + rounds at my local courses, so why make another argument for arguments sake?

No to lining up ,
help reading the putt ok as they change from green to green & course to course .

but not lining the player up if you cant line yourself up for a shot then maybe you shouldnt be a pro in the first place

Voted don't care. I do think it shows a sign of weakness to FC's and the rest of the field that you don't trust yourself but does it matter. It isn't the reason rounds take forever and no-one does it for us but I can still be out there all day with some of our members in front

Voted don't care and think it's a very small, percentage of players and mainly a couple Asians ladies on the LPGA - it's obviously something that Delc has grabbed hold off and won't let go.

If caddies aren't allowed to help in the line of putts then what else shall we ban caddies from doing

Voted "don't care" mainly because it's posted by Delc and it really won't matter to him what anyone else thinks, says or does!
