Anyone got one or have any comments on it?

I liked the look of it when I was researching GPS devices a few months ago. Are they reputable as not many places seem to stock them? I have been ofered one at my club for what seems like a mega bargain of £120. My 2 concerns are if they are going to be in business in a year or two and do I need a CD to activate on my computer, as I haven't got one! The other device that I would probably rather is the Golf Buddy Platinum but that is £320, although free courses for life v. £5 each with Shotmiser
Cheers
Paul

Got one today, and am just uploading my free £500 worth of courses (£5 a course normally) It could get expensive if you play a lot of courses, which is why i was attracted by the free uploads. No annual fees. It seems really good and can't wait to get on the course with it.Large screen that is easy to read even for bats like me.

Think you will need a cd, and will have it deactivated, and then have a new user account set up. Costs £25.

Must admit i would be careful about buying a second hand one, and unfortunately the deal on free courses for new ones ends today.

Thnks Rich. This is a new one I am looking at not second hand - they only have 2 in the pro shop and probably won't stock them again. Let us know about the CD - I reckon I will give it a go if I don't need a CD as I don't play that many different courses each year and I figure that in 3 years it will be yesterdays tech.

I would give Shotmiser a ring 0844 8805442, not open until 4th January though. You need the cd to download the courses. Have a feeling you would be able to get a new one from the company but might be expensive ? Seems strange that if it is new there is no cd. There are a limited number of authorised dealers, about 15 pro shops, including the Army Club in Farnborough, and a few other outlets. I got mine from Hotgolf a pro shop in Cheshire.

If the cd is missing from the package i would have thought pro shop would have returned to manufacturers. £120 including a cd is great deal. Paid £259 for mine, but as i said i do get all the free course uploads. I have already spent £200 of free uploads on courses, including Bearwood lakes. ;) ;) ;)

I used to have a Shotmiser, and they have the best customer service I've come across.

Definitely give them a call, they'll bend over backwards to help.

I've had one for a year now and love it so would most definitely recommend it.

Has been one of the best (if not the best) golfing item i have ever bought. Customer service as mentioned is superb.

The screen is clear and the device is very easy to use. You will require a CD which has the software needed to upload the courses to your device. You get free software updates for the device so any time they design new features, you will receive them when they are released.

An excellent piece of equipment which you won't regret buying!!
