Shortening a driver

whats everyones thoughts on this??? My mate shortened his driver to 43.5" and to be honest I think its excellent. I hit it and it was the same distance as my own driver if not a tad further.now do I take the plunge and knock and inch off my driver or not???

Why not try holding it an inch farther down and see what happens. You could somehow wrap tape round the end to make it different.

I tend to grip down my driver when I try play it safe.never notice any difference with the length tbh

I've shortened a few drivers in my time.

I always think (however) that if you can grip down on it, what's the point?

I never felt comfy gripping down, hence.....
