Played on temps this weekend for the first time this year.

Saturday was the final qualifier for our winter board comp.

Qualified in fourth place with 41 pts

Played Sunday in our roll-up

11 players, average score 40pts, lowest 27pts.

I rocked in with a gross 77 and a whopping 52 points

They've chopped me from 20.5 to 14hcp for next weekends roll-up hehe

Just off to get some water for my Burro

Cheers Gents,

unfortunately I was under the radar for the annual review and the cut is only for the roll-ups.

Hoping the clubhouse chatter will get me a cut for general play.

Cheers

Would love to win any comp but unlikely as there are some very good golfers at our club.

I'm not one of them lol.

I find it very hard to play shot by shot and concentrate for 18 holes, this weekend was an anomaly.

Target for this year is 16 hcp, fingers crossed.

At least having been fitted for my woods and wedges I now have the right shafts / clubs for me and I have a fighting chance of the ball going where I send it rather than being at the mercy of the wind.

Putting and iron play is sorted so biggest hurdle is my mental game which I am working on.

Cheers.

the short game is the key so hopefully you have that sorted now. just remember to enjoy it. dont put too much pressure on yourself. sometimes having a mare at the first can really sort people out as they relax after that then proceed to have a great round. good luck Doc :)

What a difference a week makes :(

Played in our final winter league qualifier today (knockout playoffs next)

Well, turned up and proceeded to duff, top, fat and lip out virtually every shot other than my driver.

A bad day indeed.

Worse is, tomorrow I'll be playing off 14 in the slap, hope I don't play like a man with no arms again.

Ah well, it happens.

Cheers
