Not wanting to be controversial here but when reading another thread some people were referring to themselves as short hitters. I was wondering what people consider short, average and long hitters?

Here we go...... settle in......

BTW- nothing controversial here, but with something as subjective as this topic, be ready for 6 pages with no consensus.

Edit: this may help:

Trackman data showing that average driving distance for male amateurs is 214 yards. Would need the raw data to work towards a definition of 'short' and 'long'.

Short - anything under 210

Average - 210 - 260

Long - over 260

Measured on GPS so not fibbing, Sunday best is 300, 100 out 100 up and 100 down and a nice sky mark.
I'm a short arse so 220 tops for me with my 90 mph swipe

On trackman at the weekend my SS averaged 114mph. Have tried to slow down for better accuracy but I completely lose my tempo. If only I had spotters and a crowd of people to hit my ball into!

I always feel preety good about my driving. Sunday morning no matter what the draw I'll be the longest one in the group.

Then I tee it up with someone good.

Yikes. I'm distinctly average.

When I was at RAGC I was often the longest in my group, at Blackmoor I am rarely the longest (but often the straightest :D)
