Hi,

Time for some new golf shoes. What are the most comfortable, longest lasting shoes in your opinion please. Not that fussed on style but would like spikes not the trainer soles.

Thanks

Soft spikes ? For winter or summer or all year round ?

FJ DNA - light and comfortable but for me they took time to wear in

Hydrolite are good and also the FJ Dryjoy casual but they don't have the spikes but the pointy dimples

I've given up expecting more than a year or so out of shoes these days.

Adidas Boost ones I've got just now have the Gripmore spikes on them and are by a considerable distance the most comfortable and stable shoes I've had.

Previously tried FJ, Nike Lunar 1,2 and 3, nike TW and Ecco.

The have the wearing issue on the heel as all adidas do but even with that I'll still buy another pair. Ridiculous how comfortable they are.

What about in the wet for the Boost shoes ?

I only this year started wearing the Gripmores during the wet and soft ground and feel stable but interested in the Boost for winter possibly ?

No real budget, soft spikes, all year round.

The boost look nice so same question as Phil. Are they waterproof?

Absolutely waterproof, I've played in a fair amount of wet stuff this year and no problems there.

My first try of the Gripmore spikes and they're absolutely brilliant. I'm not a massive fan of the spikeless shoes (Ecco Biom etc) as I don't like the lack of grip and they feel a bit "flimsy" for what of a better word. Like a pair of trainers.

The Boost are really stable and the Gripmore things are as good as soft spikes shoes I've had before.

They're not cheap but like I say I'll be being another pair with no hesitation

Cheers - think that has sealed the deal then for my winter shoes

No worries, taken me years to find a pair of shoes that I can wear without my knees aching after a round.

I used to have a pair of the Tour 360s that I really liked and the Boost are as stable as those but much lighter and more comfortable.

I'd be surprised if you weren't impressed with them

Excellent - will be getting them on order then - cheers for the info

FJ contour. Comfortable from the moment I tried them on.
Dry all winter. I bought a second pair after 9 months in case they stop making them.

Glad to read this.
I have just got a pair ,on our Pro's advice, £79. 00.
Very pleased after one round, like slippers.
Dewsweeper

I have stuck to Dry joys for years but I find the recent pairs ain't lasted more than a couple of years before leaking and the Uppers delaminating at the seams.

Nevertheless I have just ordered Dry joy Tours because the first and are comfortable.
