I recently watched two people pull their trolleys right across the 18th tee (and I mean right through the middle of the pegs. My jaw nearly hit the floor - I was just stunned.

What would you have done?

Picked my jaw up, and pointed out the error of their way. That's assuming they were not bigger than me, with tattoos and piercings :D

I would have challenged them and reported them to the committee. Then you would see if your committee had the balls to do anything. I know from the past that my club does not.The exact same thing happened on our 3rd green 4 player and 2 trolleys WTF.

Trolley across tee - big deal.

Trolley across green - actually a big deal.

That's nothing.

Playing the 565yd 10th the other day with 3 coffin dodgers in front and 2 mid-life crises behind, the group in front left the pin on the side of the green. My approach came up about 50yds short, so I walked up and put the pin back in and as I'm walking back to where I'd left my trolley (i.e. by the ball) I have a ball land a few yards to my left and past my bag.

No apology from either group. That's bad etiquette!

Not good etiquette but come on, it isn't like they took a dump in the hole on the 18th green.

So to answer your question, I would have done nothing.
+1. Hardly a major issue at all in my book. In fact lowest infringement I could think of.

I'd 'ave 'ad a word. Probably starting off quite gently....clearly they've no idea. Everyone starts somewhere with the etiquette minefield.

(no rant then RG?)

As we're a private members club I'd have hoped our members would have had a basic concept of etiquetted and so I'd definitely had a word. Depending on their reaction I'd either have left it or if they got really arsy I'd have taken it further, probably by outing them in the 19th.

To be fair they may well have not noticed. I have to be honest and say if I'm munching on a bit of food or taking a drink there have been times when I've not really been looking where I'm walking and found myself on a collision course with the yellow or even the red tee box. I have never actually gone over them but have skirted the edges. :o

Some of the courses I play on it might actually help flatten them out a little bit, if there's one thing I can't stand it's bumpy/uneven tees. It can't be that difficult to build a flat bit of ground ffs...

Having said that a 4-ball did that across the white tee at the first behind us last week, the pro was on the putting green and RAN over to the first tee to give them a bollocking! They weren't regular players though, judging by their tee shots...

Flattening the tee not really an issue. The reason is that, being the 18th at the Dukes course at Woburn, it's in pretty good nick for the Senior Tour Masters competition currently taking place. The two people in question were the caddies of Jose Maria Canivares and Bobby Lincoln, in consecutive groups, in front of a sizeable crowd. I opted to take no action other than shake my head gently in wonderment.

As I say, I was stunned.

I dont really see a problem with trollies on tee boxes. I have seen tractors and grass cutting machines on them so whats the problem with trollies.
As long as you keep ur trolly to the edges of the teeing ground I would have a word at all. Now pull a trolly across a green and I'll have plenty to say!
