Gutted to hear this news.....a fabulous fun track and a bloody tough one at that.1st time I played it I shelled 8 balls in ten holes but managed to get in losing no more. That came after I had laughed at the story of a fella from my track lost 10 after 8 and ran out after 16!

Amazing they ever managed to get a course built up there, let's hope it re-opens at some point.

Real shame, but no big surprise. They were heavily reliant on selling the real estate side of it up there, amazing plots for houses but bloody expensive and christ knows how you would build anything half way down some of the cliffs!!

Absolute ball playing there, just mental from start to finish. Loads of laughs because it was so penal and crazy difficult in places.

Too true re the villas.

I have never been so happy to see a gypsy sitting under a bush as I was that day I shelled all my eggs away...half a dozen tour editions for 1000 pesatas thank you very much!;)

Just up the road from Flamingos Golf Club where we play on holiday. Hope this is a one off and not the sign that more courses in the area will be closing.

What a tragedy, what a course.
First time I played it, with three mates, it took us 45 minutes just to play the first!!
Have played there a few times & loved every moment.
Will be sorely missed if the closure is permanent.
Monte Mayor..........RIP.

Slime.

Wow shocking and sad news! Play that course every summer and absolutely love it. A golf experience unlike any other. Like others have said the first time I played it me and my mate ran out of balls by the 11th hole. Luckily there was a guy on the tee selling packs of 17 balls. We bought one each and they just about survived the rest of the round!! xD
