Not shipped drivers in the UK for a while
I need to ship a longdrive club so 48inches domestic

They going to accept a driver that is a couple of inches longer than standard?

I recall last time i was shipping clubs in the uk normal drivers were right on the limit

I sent a driver via MyHerpes a while ago. It was just on the limit & I got a email saying it was over the length / weight limit & they demanded an additional £10+ to deliver it. I paid, via PayPal, & as soon as delivery was made I opened a dispute. MyHerpes didn't respond & a few days later I got my money back. I find them fast & reliable, unlike some others' experience.

To be honest, the post office is as okay as anyone. It's all about how you pack. If you pack it well, make it solid then you will be fine. I've sent plenty, received plenty and if you pack it well then there will be no issues.

Check the length out, you may be over what carriers are happy with without adding on a surcharge.

I use Hermes for shipping them have just got lucky size wise so far

adjustable drivers got to be the best for shipping tho.. take the head off lol

I wouldn't touch Hermes with a barge pole. Twice I've had golf clubs delivered by them which have been left on my doorstep for all the world to see, and when I've checked their website I've allegedly signed for them.

If I was paying to send an item I want to know it's going to be safely delivered.

I vaguely recall being delighted by their price but hating their inconsistent service a few years back.

Going to try the post office....

Exactly that except they through mine over the gate into our alleyway and did not bother telling me.

Bit of a minefield question as the size/weight are not the only determining factors as to what company is most suitable. Insurance cover depending on value covered can bring in several companies as to overall value. Cheap single club, including drivers - can't beat My Hermes. Driver above £200 in value different company needed.

Just about everyday I read those knocking My Hermes and it leaves me thinking am I just the lucky one? Sent 16 parcels with them over the last 10 days or so, 71 (just checked) in the last year - not one problem. I will keep using them till I find a problem. Their speed is also increasing. Over 80% of those last 16 done in 48 hours from drop off and that's from Northern Ireland to various in Mainland UK. For me - top quality service

pay for signature and insurance least then the item is covered if they muck it up

have once had an issue where a driver left it on a part of a farm I sent item too and faked signature lol

they do what you pay for.. parcel arrives

Yet another gold star (not) for Hermes today. New golf shoes ordered from an online retailer, according to the Hermes website delivered to a "secure location". I've arrived home to find them dumped, yet again, on my front doorstep in full view of anyone passing my house.

I've emailed asking for their understanding of the word "secure". Can't wait for the response.

A truly awful courier which I know (from professional experience) puts pressure on their drivers to minimise the number of parcels returned to depots because of non delivery. The result is a service which should not be relied upon by buyers or sellers.

My wife has just retrieved a bag of 50 golf balls bought on flea bay from our back garden. No idea who the courier was, no card through the door. Balls flung over the side gate! Good job it wasn't perishable.

But then I have had exactly the same with Parcelforce and with DHL where the driver rang the bell, left the parcel on the step and yet, apparently, when I questioned this I was told someone (?) had signed for it.

Hermes don't need a signature which gives them carte Blanche. It's why they are cheap, no returns and repeat deliveries required. Dhl need a signature and a driver faking one could be sacked.
