-4 degrees here this morning and it's snowing hard.
"I've got a lesson at 9 o'clock" she says.
She got all kitted up, I ran her down to Cooden only for the pro to turn up and say "lesson off".
Course was white, frozen solid, but she was still as keen as mustard to go out and whack a ball.
She is a nutter.
:(:(:(

Snow at cooden and Bexhill, unusual. Still, you have a FULL and proper summer to look forward to

Oddsocks, Scott and I would have had a 4 ball at Westerham last week if we had asked her instead of you Smiffy!

'twas -7 when I left for my lesson yesterday though thankfully on a range and not snowing. However it did mean we could only work on pitching. I say fair play to her, gotta love that enthusiasm!!! :)

Nope.
He hates snow so much, he's going to.................................Lapland

What a putz

Get it right Bob.
I don't hate snow. I hate snow when I'm working and the cars get covered in the crap. And the punters don't come out when there's six inches of snow everywhere.
On holiday? Sitting in the bar at the hotel looking out over the pine forests, it can snow as much as it likes!
With a husky sled ride and skidoo trip lined up, it would be a washout without the white stuff!
Who's the putz????

Took the kids to Lapland may years ago as a day trip, did the skidoo, dogs sled rides etc - was really good fun. Only advice I can give is make sure you have decent snow boots and good socks. The rest of you is able to keep warm but the cold comes up through the boots if they are not good quality ones.

The hotel where we are staying provide all in one winter suits and boots as part of the package Anthony. Reading reviews on an independent site, everybody has reported back that the kit they supply is really good quality. Just worried about my glasses freezing up, as one or two reviewers have said that it likely to happen!

I guess you probably couldn't post something along these lines in this thread I will and hopefully you won't take offence.

Isn't that taking the old golf course intercourse joke a bit far, when the wife says golf course and a lesson with the pro even though it's closed? (I'd insert smileys if I could remember how)

Ladies tend to be a different breed when it comes to lessons, (generalisation*) they seem to take learning very seriously and tend to have what seems like less ego and are more open to changes, but can easily overdo them and as a consequence it's really important for both parties to understand each other as ladies can be very literal and easily overdo things. Difficult when venitian isn't your natural tongue.

*I'm not really a fan of generalistions since evrybody is an individual and moves, learns, thinks and feels differently and the coach has got to help that individual.
