SHARPRO GRIPS

Has anyone used these grips and how would they compare to the likes of golf pride grips??

Not for me I'm afraid. Golf pride have the edge on quality and last longer.

I found the Sharpro Multicompound grips to be thinner than the GPNew Decade so you may need a couple of extra layers of tape underneath to make them feel the same.

k cheers, i did wonder if they would be as thick and whether they would last as long as the golf pride grips..

I need the mid size grips my local club do them fitted for £8 a club gp ones..

Cant find them that much cheaper to buy to put them on myself

My pro and range do Golf Pride, and everyone seems to like the multi compound at £8 or £9 fitted. Personally, I buy a dozen tour velvets at a time and do them myself. £3-ish.

In my experience, there's not much in them for how long they last. In fact, I find the multi-compound go a little "glassy" earlier if anything.

I must admit that i'm a bit of a golf snob when it comes to grips.
Tour velvets always feel great on mates clubs, but after trying a set on my own clubs,i found them a bit slick, even after a few rounds, and worse than useless when wet (might be the fact i don't wear a glove ?)
I was always a full cord man untill the multi compounds came out,the multi compounds seem to offer the best of both worlds, soft and tacky enough in the dry,and just enough cord to give a bit of grip when damp.
I've never used the Sharpro's myself, but i know some very tidy golfers who swear by them, and having tried a mates iron that was fitted with a Sharpro multi compound,i can vouch for the feel being comparable to a Golf Pride.

Has anybody tried the Golf Pride "Tour Wrap" grips?
I used to have them fitted to a set of irons years ago and loved them.
My Pings are going to need re-gripping soon and I'm thinking of going over to them.

Hi Smiffy. I think I have similar grips. My irons came with Winn grips similar to these -

They are the best grips I have ever used but I guess it is personal preference. No idea where you would buy these but I am sure you can find them on the web.

I can recommend these very highly.
