I have project x 8b4 shafts in my driver and 3 wood, I'd like to change my hybrid to the same shaft or the hybrid equivalent of it. Can anybody tell me what the hybrid equivalent is and where can I buy one

Thanks

Im no expert on reshafting but assuming that the shaft has the right tip size for the clubhead then any decent pro should be able to put it into a 909H head. Assuming the tip size is correct the only other thing I would check is the length as it has been pulled from a 4H it may be too short depending on what loft clubhead you want to put it into

The 909 h is no longer listed on titleist website, but I'm assuming the spec of the 910h will be the same. 38.75 in length appears to be a women's shaft?? This legnth is not listed for gents models

Might be worth asking the seller the question about length (and what loft it came out of and is it standard for that), not sure whether possible to measure the length wrong (ie is the titleist measurement how long it is with clubhead on for eg)

For 909 specs:

If 38.75 is correct then it appears to be too short

Emailed the seller and he says it definitely a gents shaft. As title it's list this length for ladies. He says was pulled from his callaway razr x 4 hybrid. I checked it and the loft is 24 degrees as oppose to the 21 I want to put in. So it does appear 38.75 is correct for his club but yo short for mine.
Thanks for that though, now at least i know what I'm looking for

What other shafts are about the same as the hc1???

The spec of the HC1 on the Titleist site has it as low mid spin and low mid launch. Others in that area are; The Ahina 90Hyb, Tour AD YSQ 85 Hybrid and the Aldila NV85 Hybrid. It depends what characteristics you want from the shaft, do you hit it high or low, do you want the shaft to help you hit it higher or lower etc.

I actually looked at the HC1 shaft when I was getting my 910 Hybrid, but ended up with the Motore F3 95HB in stiff, slightly softer shaft but heavier and lower spin/launch, works for me but requires hitting or gives a very low ball flight (I hit it high and wanted a shaft that hit it lower)

Both those have the titlesit shafts matrix on them so you can compare the characteristics of the various shafts, as always there is no real substitute for trying the shafts out if you can do so

Quick scan on ebay offers up:

Aldila NV85 X Flex

PX Black Hybrid 6.5 (this is the newer PX shaft compared to the HC1)

BTW it seems like you need a 0.355 tip, a 0.370 should be OK as a pro should be able to pencil it down at the tip to fit
