Ok so I know I got some advice off some people on here last night, of which Im very grateful.

I took the club back this morning and he gave me 2 options. He could order me another 4 wood reg ping shaft or I could take one with a reg serrano shaft. He assured me there isnt much difference between them. The thing is my driver and hybrid are ping tfc shafts.

What are the differences as Im still fairly new to the game and learning by the minute.

Thanks in advance

The serrano is slightly heavier than the TFC.It lauches slightly lower and spins a bit less,so will play nothing like your driver and hybrid already in the bag

If you like your driver and hybrid then get your 4 wood ordered with the same shaft or it might end up a £140 mistake

It sounds like this shop is just interested in offloading what it wants to shift rather than what is best for you. My advice is to go to somewhere else.

The serrano shaft is the better shaft however it is a stiffer shaft than the standard Ping shaft.

Just ask him to order you the club in the shaft you want if you like the Ping shaft. If it were my choice I would go for the serrano shaft though.

The best(better) shaft for you is the one that finds more fairways and travels an acceptable distance. ;)

Try'm before you buy'm!
