Shaft Inserts

Hi All,

I came across a post in our for sale section a month or so ago and Tiger was selling a putter with a shaft insert in it. From what I could tell it is some kind of damping device that makes the sweet spot bigger. I chatted to him and others who had posted about it and got some information, there was chat if putting it in wedges and irons. I have now found one that is for drivers. True Temper started this with there Senicore inset that as far as I can tell is just light weight foam. Everyone I have talked to about this stuff has said good things about it and MyGolfSpy rave about them.

I think this is real golf club engineering, far more inattentive than the things the OEMs bang on about.

I am interested to know if the inevitable added weight and swing weight changes are factored in. Does this stuff interested anyone, does anyone have any knowledge of these technology they would like to share. I am all round interested to know if this is something we are going to see more of in the long run.

Thanks
