Also, while stock shafts are labeled as a specific flex, independent tests confirm that a shaft’s stiffness isn’t always what it says it is.

That (from the article) is nonsense. There is no standard for flex, so nothing to compare against. Shafts are highly variable in flex, but that is hardly news.

Found this quite interesting although not applicable to a haker such as me(24 although I have my momoments!!)
Think I'llstick to my regular steel shafts as I like them....
And at the moment they seem to like me!"!!

Still got it, dont always have it in the bag, but I've still got it along with the 5 wood and that's always in the bag.
