Seve

he is one of only a few golfers I have enormous respect and admiration for and I hope he will be fine and its nothing serious. probably the greatest recovery player the world of golf ever knew.

Hope is ok and that it was just a bout of dizziness and nothing more sinister, stories were circulating a while back that he tried to top himself so I do hope he gets better and is ok. The guy is a legend of golf and its a shame we dont have more Seves nowerdays.

His was my absolute idol as a junior and was until he retired. Every time he tried t make a comeback I was willing him to succeed. My last memory of him playing was beating Monty in the inaugural Seve trophy and I don't think he hit a fairway or green all the way round. I hope it is nothing serious and that the greatest European golfer of all time gets better soon

Apparently when the stories about him trying to top himself came out, it turned out that he had suffered frrom palpitations.
Lets hope that's all it is now. Maybe a spot of anxiety and high BP.

Absolute Ledgend. I had the pleasure of following around for a full 18 on an open practice day at Lytham. I do not get starstruck with anyone and that includes the occassion I have met royalty but I was in awe of that man.

He's been disgnosed with a brain tumour. Ge well soon, big guy.

He said:

"Throughout my entire career I have been one of the best at overcoming obstacles on the golf course. And now I want to be the best, facing the most difficult game of my life, using all my strength and also counting on those who have been sending me get-well messages."

"Now I've been able to tell my three children personally and their mother, now I can tell you the illness that I am suffering from. After the exhaustive tests that I have undertaken in the Hospital La Paz they have detected a brain tumour."

"I have always sympathised with those people who face illnesses."

"Therefore, I want to remind them that with bravery, faith, serenity, confidence and a lot of mental strength, we have to face any situation no matter how difficult it is."
