He has had deteriorated (sic) neural activity since surgery and radiation removed parts of his brain in a futile attempt to remove the tumour.

Now he had progression of his cancer, which was always more or less inevitable and would have probably been expected to have happened before now.

Overall, he has done better than most with the same condition but probably is nearing the end.
 
Sad, sad news. For the family to release a statement it must mean things are critical. Absolute legend, and like many others I'm sure, the reason I started playing golf
 
The most inspirational golfer in history. Just a fantastic man.

The world will be worse off when he's gone. I hope he pulls through but the outlook looks pretty bleak.
 
Hoping for the best but realistically expecting the worst.
Come on Seve it's only a 3 wood from a bunker behind a tree and a 250 yard carry over the lake to a tight pin - you can do it if anyone can
