Following on from the Rory Programme thread, a heads-up for Sunday night and a tribute to Seve 'Seve: The Legend' on BBC1 at 10.25pm.

I for one will be watching, admiring the genius of the man, and no doubt shedding more than a few tears (still finding it hard to believe that he's gone!)

Great, hopefully in hd, will shed a few myself, felt like I grew up with him.

Yes it's in HD. BBC1 HD Channel 143 (I think) for those with Sky.

we have just been sent a couple of extended clips by the BBC press department - will have them up on the site tomorrow

Thanks for this.. Added to the planner on the spot!

I hope it's as good as he deserves.

Cheers, just set the Sky box to record. Agree it's hard to believe he's gone. Still with us all in spirit though and I really enjoyed the Seve tribute section in this month's GM despite reading it all with a pair of very damp eyes.

Cheers for the info. Looking forward to it.

I'm probably being a bit dense here, but all the original footage wouldn't be shot in HD, so do they enhance it digitally in some way to make it HD? :D

I am sure footage is/was shot in a higher def than the old crt tv's. Most is broadcast at a lower quality even on normal sky (they use compression apparently, some channels more than others) so I am sure it will look damn fine in HD
