I wonder if someone could point me in the right direction, a friend of mine in Spain has some genuine Seve Ballesteros memorabilia i.e. Ryder Cup 1997 Glove, Jacket and Cap (and other items).

He has asked me to help so I thought I would ask you all.

Regards

Mark Eastwood

To sell I would go via an auction house for such scarce and sought after items provided provenance can be proved.

Welcome aboard the happy train, get stuck In and enjoy.

If this thread starts to look like a for sale thread, it will suddenly go the same way as Seve's second to the 15th in the 1986 Masters that Nicklaus won - sunk without trace.

Point in the right direction for what?

My friend who is Spanish is asking me because I am English where the best place to sell these items would be - I don't want to tell him eBay(!) as these are clearly valuable items (I would have thought).

Is there a well-known auction house in the gold world for top end memorabilia?

Plenty of sporting auction houses around. I would ensure there is sufficient provenance for each item as there will undoubtedly be many fakes around and this will crucial to getting best prices

Can he actually prove they are genuine???

Not dissing him or you in any way but this is something iv often wondered about sporting memorabilia and has put me off buying it in the past.
