I guess many of you have already seen this?

I know this is toally unacceptable but we've talked about this in the office and wrong as it is***, it makes watching Sergio all that little bit more exciting when he's on the edge.

Don't like to see it boling over to this level of bad behaviour, but the odd act of passion certainly creates talking points.

***No member of Golf Monthly has ever, nor will they ever, throw an iron/driver (or any club) into a lake.

cant see too much of a problem with it myself.. give him a slap on the wrist and move on... like they said, it shows a certain type of passion that is sadly missing from some of our robotic superstars...

He'll get stick for this from now on... sort of thing that (some) galleries use to wind players up, especially in the US (remember Monty's Mrs Doubtfire reputation?)

If he's going to get into this kind of petulant behaviour, he's going to face the music in the locker room and on the course. I wonder if his temperament can cope under even greater scrutiny?

Not something i've ever done, put a playing partner of mine wrapped his 8 iron round a tree this year.....which was quite funny!

Tbh, I had more of a problem with Tiger just before he wrapped his Buick around a tree he threw a club into the crowd and almost took someones head off! The idiot didnt even apologise.

I suppose with Sergio it was only the ducksin danger!

charley hoffman treated his scotty cameron to the same treatment recently as well... not sure how keen the tour reps would be on this form of advertising...

When Sergio is on song, he is awesome to watch. However, when he gets in to a moody strop he behaves like a petulant brat who needs a slap on the backside. I'm no prude, but behaviour such as that displayed by him has no place on the course, never mind a televised event.
The guy's a professional and as such should exercise more restraint. Certainly not the behaviour of a role model.

Good posture and excellent flex thro the knees, however the grip is weak and his hand action is too fast, needs to waggle a bit more before release.

We'll ask him about the incident next time we see him, maybe in Abu Dhabi. With the season he has had we thought he was in better spirits.....

Have you noticed that when golfers throw a club in anger they always seem to hook it.:mmm: Perhaps it would be good practice for those that consistently slice.:ooo:

he'll probably get fined for it...possibly!!!

tiger has been fined a few times for throwing clubs even though that one that went in the crowd i felt was an accident.

I thought it was a funny thing to see and agree that it spices things up a bit. Then again, I am a Garcia fan so can forgive a lot but certainly draw the line at spitting which was on another occasion and absolutely disgusting.

More locally, I have seen a bloke throw every one of his clubs and then bag into a pond at Old Thorns! He then jumped in for a swim, not to fetch them! He had a few issues at the time shall we say....
