Now with us having discussed Nani , Zamora & the boy at wigans sending offs lately, can someone explain to me what the story is on this .. ok yer man David Luiz did have a pop first il give ya that & maybe also deserved action ..

but surely there was more intent in Agueros tackle that any of the others that we have discussed over the last few weeks , Ref said he saw some of the incident, seemingly, but no card , even still , surely it sends out wrong signals for no action to be taken over this ?

Thoughts ?

Yep he should be charged. The look on his face was one of pure vicious intent. I think he had better watch his back next season if Luiz is still at the club as he does not strike me as the type to forgive and forget easily.

Unless they change the rules then it'll never be penalised later. If the ref sees it then there is nothing to do afterwards.

I thought if he had been given a yellow card , nothing more could be done ? he wasn't carded was he .. (not sure)

It amazes me tho that one of the blind bats didn't see it .. they needed the lino from the Arsenal/Norwich game ha

Think it's to do with the rules and the officials. If they see some of the incident then there can be no retrospective action. This is what Newcastle were asking the fa to look at changing. But until they change it then nothing can be done.

Afaik, if the referee has seen the incident (and he did because he gave a foul) then nothing more can be done.

Stupid rule and leaves so many dangerous tackles unpunished.

A bit naughty by Aguero but nothing more than Sideshow Bob deserves,he gets away the initial challenge week in week out, as much as i hate City Augero is a top player.

The rule is pathetic. The ref could see it, but from an angle that doesn't show how bad it actually was. I still can't believe how stupid some footballers are though. With the amount of camera angles that games are recorded in, every little thing they do will be caught. Just like diving. They couldn't look more pathetic when they go rolling around pulling faces like their dying, then a replay shows they weren't even close to being touched.

There was no action on the Wigan player when he made the horrific tackle on Haidara of Newcastle. The lad obviously knew how bad it was and looked sick, even being taken off in the second half because he couldn't get his head back in the game.

There should be a rule change where ANY decision can be taken or over-ruled following the game and reassessing the situation. Players health and careers are at risk and if they continue to go unpunished they will continue to happen

Laughable. Eden Hazard gets a red card & a 3 match ban for toe-poking a ball out from under the oaf retaining it, yet a two-footed assault from Aguero warrants no action - FROM THE SAME REFEREE! If Howard Webb gets dropped for what he did at the weekend, what fate awaits Chris Foy? Sweet FA, I wouldn't wonder.
