Well as much as i hate to say it , and even after Paypal and Ebay Fees, it seems from my experiences that Ebay is still the place to sell decent 2nd hand gear. Being a newbie with not enough posts i wasn't able to utilise the facility on here though .

I had a Nike Covert 2.0 , 3 wood , Regular , 15 degrees, Head 9.5, Grip 9.5, Shaft 10
and
Nike Covert 2,0, hybrid, 21 degrees , condition as above:

Golfbidder offered me £40 for the fairway and £30 for the hybrid!!!!!

That was nowhere near enough so decided to post on facebook that i would be prepared to sell them both together posted for £100. ...... no takers !!!!

So reluctantly ebay it was on a 3 day auction to end on Sunday afternoon. Subsequently sold as a pair for £130 plus £12 postage.

Anyone else have any similar experiences or know of any alternative sites/places to sell 2nd hand clubs ?

I would agree evilbay is the best place- they charge but you get what you pay for, the free ones you tried all failed. Never ceases to amaze me how decent stuff can sit for weeks with no interest on the GM FS section but gets snapped up in days on evilbay

He should have done at 12 quid! using parcels to go, i can send a club for about 4 quid!

How do you do this as I have always found that any firm charge about a tenner (indeed have just done a quote on p2g and got that quote (parcel 1.3mx 6 inchs square, couple of kilos.)

get a shorter box! i think the threshold for cheap boxed is 120cm. most clubs will fit in this...

but anyone who uses ebay knows it doesnt cost £12 to send 1 light golf club. I sold some drivers recently and charged £8 signed and insured, £5.60 for delivery and £2.40 packaging.

Really p1sses me off when I see people trying for £20 shipping for one club or £30 for a set:(

I put a 910 D3 up here for a mate which dropped to 80 quid but no takers. He put it on ebay and it went for £120 3 days later. Even with fees it was still more. I will probably look to move on that wonderful 'players club' I25 shortly so will more than likely head straight to there as the christmas buyers start looking.

Depends though C, parcelfarce charged £11 for a shaft on it's own, not me might I add but the person I bought from.
Was on ebay and he only charged me £6 but it cost £11.

Some P&P is over the top, I guess thats why ebay now charge 10% of the overall price inc P&P. Altough it's also OK to cover your costs as far as boxes, tape and time go. Although these days I use the fixed price Hermes service.

Interesting comments about postage chaps. In my ignorance i posted them by parcelforce 48 for £11.98. That was one of the motivations behind selling them as a pair , postage is so bloody expensive. I'll look into the alternative options next time.

i wish i could be bothered to sell all the stuff ive sitting about, 2 bags, 2 hybrids, a set of irons a driver, a 3 wood and a pair of shoes. there could be more.
