Hi guys,

I am looking at possibly selling a few items on the 'for sale' section on this forum. I have read the rules etc, and understand how to post the images...

What I wanted to ask is, what is the best way of payment for the items?? One of the items is fairly large and I probably wouldn't look at posting it, so would cash on collection be the best way, or are there any alternatives, PayPal etc??

Looking forward to your advice....

Thanks!

Personally have done bank transfer, paypal and cash on collection and had no issues. If its being posted make sure you have the money before you post and if posting ideally require a signature at the other end

Paypal is a decent alternative but there are charges, you can also do a bank transfer or a good old fashioned cheque. Although I would be waiting on the cheque to clear first.....

I wouldnt sell on here as they will try and get it for peanuts and are proper rip off merchants ;)

any of the above is good, BT, PP or COC. you will be surpised how easy bulky items are to post via parcelmonkey etc and they will collect so dont rule it out as it will limit the chances of a sale.

Gibbo may have said his first line tongue in cheek but in my experience it isn't far off the mark. I go straight to ebay now as people on here are really after a considerable bargain but if you do put it on here then cash on collection or bank transfer would be the preferred method.

If your not posting, then go for cash on collection. Otherwise PayPal bank transfer cheque as already mentioned make clear postage is on top of quoted price as it costs a fortune these days! Good luck.
