Self handicap adjustment

If you can all help please.

Played a competition today shot 1 under my handicap. A net 70, par 71. Gross was 81. I'm playing tomorrow at an away course so do I need to adjust my handicap myself? Current actual is 10.7, playing 11.

Whats SSS for the course? Unless its 72 or more then no need to cut

This. A SSS of anything less won't affect you playing handicap as it would be a 0.2 cut at most leaving you at 10.5.

The css should be on your club website or HDID, otherwise use the sss to calculate.

I've not got a card to hand. HDID not updated instantly at our place though, so the cards will be loaded in tomorrow morning, probably after I go out on this next comp.

If no CSS published then you go off SSS which doesnt get you a cut so your playing handicap is still 11. IF SSS was 71 would be 10.5 so still 11, only if SSS 72 or over would you be cut to 10

You could call your club before you hand your card in.:thup:

Worth explaining the reason! Which is because if CSS is not known, then you use the SSS.

Wouldn't want anyomne to simply not adjust because the CSS wasn't known (but they were due a cut against SSS)!
