Thought I heard somewhere that you cannot adjust your handicap upwards.

My handicap is 13.4 at present and I am playing 2 courses in Scotland at the weekend in stroke play singles and it may prove difficult, although possible to stay within my buffer zone.

If I am outside my buffer zone am I allowed to adjust upwards as I will be unable to submit away scores to my Club for adjustment.

I am not particularly bothered whether I am playing off 13 or 14 , 12 would be better but if anyone know the answer it would be appreciated

If the results are published then I think your handicap will be adjusted.

Best to wait on one of the handicap official-types confirming though. ;)

As stated, you can only self-adjust downwards. For upward adjustment, the results would have to reach your Home Club and they would have to have actioned them - highly unlikely.
