While watching Fit for golf lastnight seen a great set of 'tools' designed for kids development. They consisted of a coloured circle indicating take away and follow through.I thought to myself there was something lacking here then they produced what I was looking for. A simple gymastic ribbon on the end of a shaft. The presenter then asked the young lad to crack it like a whip.An excellent teaching tool to learn about rythm.Beats the method I was taught with(a piece of rope with a knot in it)which left me with some bruises but a good swing(well so I'm told). But as this was an American programme I wonder if these are available in the U.K.as I'm teaching my 11y/o daughter.

Sod that....

I'm teaching my daughter, I'm not turning her into some sort of freak.

If she gets on well (she's ok already) and needs professional tuition, I'll find her a coach. She's 11 and can hit her "driver" (20 degree) about 160 yards. She often takes a few holes off me in matchplay at 2 shots per hole.

Help your kids, encourage them to have some fun trying all sorts, but gadgets and stuff......not for me......

Sorry, not intentionally having a cheap shot.......
