Looking for imformation form members as to who buys second hand golf balls at my club we collect them for the juniors but we have that many, looking to sell some to get money for the junior section.
I can find lots of companies who sell second hand golf balls, and have emailed a couple of them but no answers so far, it's been a couple of weeks so dont expect a answer now

I buy second hand or lake balls from ebay. That is the best bet I would imagine. You could try selling them to the businesses who sell lake balls on ebay but bearing in mind they need to make a profit you will get peanuts for them. Best off selling them directly on there.

Your best bet in my opinion would be to sell them on EBay, compare prices on there to see what you would get, I doubt you'll get very much though.

Beaten to it 😀

What Tyrion said. I don't think buying them to a reseller is worth it. But can't you try to sell them at your own club? Either via the pro-shop (if you don't do it for personal profit but the money goes directly to the junior section, maybe the local pro will agree) or at the bar or the like? The first club where I played just hung plastic bags with used golf balls out at a fence on the edge of the second fairway (which was bordering private ground, so away from any random passerbys) and had attached a little money collection box next to it where you would leave two Euro for a bag of 10 balls. It worked surprisingly well, I never heard of balls or money stolen. And it wasn't even a charity, more a private "business", that the grandkids of the local farmer (who owned the land that bordered there) had set up. In your case, where it is directly for the benefit of the club, you might even be able to set something like that up in the club house, making it a bit more secure and protected from the elements. Maybe your juniors have they're own noticeboard or the like and you could place it next to that. And believe me, members and visitors alike will appreciate the option to grab a few cheap balls for their round or for practice (and will chuckle if they find one of their own balls in the bag which they lost the week before). The only one I can see refusing that is the owner of the pro-shop who might lose some business in new balls that way, but hey: a) chances are people playing used balls wouldn't have bought many balls from him anyway and b) it is for the juniors.

If you could sort them out into brands and models or the specific type of ball e.g. High Range (Pro V etc), Mid Range (NXT etc) and Low Range (Velocity)...

Then I'd be interested in buying them...all helps to raise money.

I find thousands of balls walking the dogs, The only issue with selling them and having to post them it costs a fair bit because of the weight.

Hi Patrick
Just looked at tour reply in the forum, if you do post golf balls and get something by return could you let me know who you post them to
I have give or tak 1700 ish to find a new home for
AL

What area are you as people might meet up with you rather than you have to post them
In South of Scotland but really getting a courier to pick them up at a cost wouldn't be a problem just looking for a company who wants them and would pay something for them.
It just so frustrating that I can't find a company who recycles golf balls
