Season starts tomorrow

Well, after a couple of months outstriping my handicap the season starts tomorrow. A week ago i was really quite confident of getting a few .3's knocked off it....but the last two days i've played 18 and shot bang on 12 over!

So what you are saying is if you play bad, you will shoot your handicap, that means you can just relax play your golf and destroy the place

Freddielong has it spot on, if 12 over is a bad round just get out there and play. I'm in a similar situation actually, going into tomorrow knowing my game is in decent shape. I know if I relax and play I could get a few more shaved of the handicap. My biggest problem is not getting ahead of myself and playing one shot at a time. Not getting too excited about the good holes and not getting too upset about the bad ones. I'll report back tomorrow how I get on. Good luck

Our first medal is supposed to be tomorrow, but due to the weather, I dont think it will be. I am kind of dissappointed as I want to play, but as I have not played much last few weeks, due to working away, it may be a blessing as I will have time to get to the range etc.
If it is on, I would be happy to shoot hanicap, so I will just be heading out to enjoy it.

Just don't put too much pressure on yourself to make a score. If the conditions are tough they'll be the same for everyone and so the scores will all rise accordingly. Let it flow like it has been

Well, i arrived at the club this morning and found 4 closed holes and another 3 temp greens! Gutted.
