Well my season has been cut short due to injury :(. Have been struggling with a sore right shoulder and pins and needles in my right hand. Been to physio and had the bad news that have tendon damage got six weeks of no golf at least been given exercise to do hoping that will strengthen shoulder and settle everything down. If not it is either a steroid injection or surgery.

I've been struggling for a while with a pain in my shoulder for a few months now, pretty sure it's damage to my rotor cuff and the only way it will sort itself is to rest it but I'd go insane if I couldn't get out and play.

Just have to soldier on and pray it somehow sorts itself.

thank you, yes I am hoping I don't need surgery. But going to do as I am told and see what happens just gutted it happened now was looking forward to the help 4 heroes event again this year.

Bozza they say mine might be rotor cuff as well as well as tendon on top of shoulder. used to play a lot of cricket and was a spin bowler which hasn't helped.

Look on the bright side matey. Only 128 days until Chrimbo so winter golf will soon be here. A shame though but you need to do what's right for your body. Take your time and get fit and then come back swinging freely and pain free

As an ex-batsman I am tempted to say "serves you right" but as an arthritis and tendonitis sufferer I offer my sympathies as, this year in particular, I know what a bummer it is when illness or injury interferes with golf.

Hope you make a speedy recovery.

Yeah sounds like it, mines fine until i lift my arm to around shoulder height or above and then I get a sharp pain and it feels like my arm is pretty week.

It doesn't help that my job involves lifting heavy stuff around all day so It doesn't get any rest as such.

I don't mind if you caddie for me at H4H!! And you can't miss the curry night.

Seriously though, gutted you can't play, and hope you get well soon buddy.

I damaged my right shoulder last year swatting a mosquito when I was half asleep. Passed out twice the pain was so bad. Torn rotator cuff but started the rehab even before I saw a physio. It still curtailed my competitive season. Shoulders are slow and hard to heal so probably 6 months before it was pain-free. Once it allowed I worked really hard on strengthening it so although it's not 100% still it is at least very strong and functional.

So - rest and then really work on the exercises and rehab. Good luck.

I've suffered with this same problem all season, most of year actually
But just stupidly continued on, taking the odd rest
Finally been to see my GP today
Have rotator cuff injury , sometimes referred to as frozen shoulder
I got "told off" for not going to see GP sooner, as she said my range of movement with left arm is terrible
Could even have tear, pain is shocking, hence reason I finally gave in and sought advice
Being referred for physio
So until I've seen a physio, I'm gonna give the golf a miss

So Bozza, don't ignore it, go see docs, catch early, repair quicker......

Yes very much the same here. But with pins and needles in thumb and index finger and third finger. physio wants to keep an eye on pins and needles for a week, Exercises seem to help but know it after I have done them. I am also in a situation that I do a lot of lifting at work but fortunately I am training a new employee so have some one doing the lifting.
