My old school has a bit of an old boy's golf society that I've only just discovered. Their three meetings this year are at Seaford, New Zealand and The Berkshire.

Any feedback on these?

Just thinking that I'd probably just play in one and which would be the best track to play?

The Berkshire would my favourite out of the two I've played on your list (the New Zealand the other). It is a great set up and if you can get a day out and play both the blue and the red you'll have a blast. The Red for me is the better as it is the higher up of the two and has more changes in elevation but neither are what you'd call hilly. Pretty tree lined in places. The red's par 5's from memory are reasonably short but the 4's are quite long. The blue starts with a par 3 and is similar in set up. A friend who is a member thinks the blue is the harder course. The greens are pretty slick and have some very subtle borrows so even the short ones aren't certainties. Be aware that if you are having lunch in the main dining room you'll need to change into a jacket and tie

There's Seaford and there's Seaford Head.

I've played Seaford a few times and while it's a good course I suspect either of the other two would trump it in the blink of an eye. Bloody windy up there too!!

The fixture list looks mighty impressive. Team matches taking place at:

Royal West Norfolk & Hunstanton
Royal Wimbledon
Royal Ashdown Forest
Royal St Georges
Royal Cinque Ports

Blimey!

Seaford Head is the windy one. Apparently the 18th is Peter Aliss's favourite closing hole.

Whilst Seaford is considered by most to be the better course, I always prefer playing Seaford Head.

Golfmmad.

Two courses at the Berkshire, and both crackers. The red has 6 par 3's 6 par 4's and 6 par 5's, and is my favourite. New Zealand is nice but not in the same league in my opinion.

Love Royal Wimbledon - a great heathland course. Very fond memories all the way back to playing in the Aer Lingus schools competitions and just missing out on winning a place in the national finals. Use to play it a lot as it backs onto Wimbledon Common. Walked it with Faldo and Lyle, their caddies and a handful of spectators one Saturday afternoon when they rocked up for a game. Awesome to watch two of the greats of the day just having some fun and playing relaxed golf

The Berkshire. Two beautiful courses. Typical heath and heather tracks, and I would play either of them again at the drop of a hat.
Seaford. If it's the private club situated at Blatchington, very nice course, typical downland layout very exposed to the elements. 2nd hole there is one of the toughest par 4's you'll play anywhere. Only one par 5 if I remember correctly. Funnily enough, I'm playing there next Wednesday in their seniors open. Looking forward to going back as I haven't played it for a good ten years or so. Holds some good memories for me as when I was at Crowborough I played in a club match there and my partner and I beat their strongest pairing, who apparantly hadn't been beaten in over 5 years. I played out of my boots!
New Zealand. Dunno. Never played it. Have wanted to, but just not got round to it.

As for the matches, any or all please :)

That was my thought too! :D Can't see a new member being selected for any of the team things but you never know!

It is Seaford Golf Club not Seaford Head.

All the courses look pretty damn good though. Might have stumbled onto a winner here. ;)

Check out the Course Reviews section on this forum - I reviewed New Zealand last month.
