Just put my name down to go to Seacroft with a group of members from my club for 2 rounds of golf and 1 night B&B for £110

Never heard of it before, the pictures and general info on the website look good, so come on peeps, spill the beans.

Whilst I only live a few miles away, I have haven't played the course. From what I have been told though, it is excellent.

Nice course, its not up with the greatest links courses but its good.

At £110 for 2 rounds inc B&B its good value, the catering at the golf club is very good as well.

Played it a few weeks ago with Region3 and it was in good condition, if the wind is up its a brute as it doesn't have the dunes like the NW have.

Get ready for a few blind tee shots and a classic 9 holes out and 9 holes back.

Yep, I was too gung-ho with my drives and though they looked great from the tee we never found them. If I played again I'd be more conservative off the tee. A very enjoyable links though, good test you'll enjoy it

Greens are always good, although the fairways 2-3 yrs ago were not very good and nearly lost them, not sure what they like now.
But it's a good test interesting 6 holes from the 9th onwards alternate from par 5,3,5,3,5,3. The 3rd is a blind over the hill tee shot, then a 2nd is up to a green on a plateau. 4th par3 is a bit of a brute, as is the 7th and a great drive is essential to set up a semi blind 2nd green where you can only see the top half of the flag. Then the 8th a tough tee shot with OB all down the right side and a totally blind 2nd.
If it blows then good luck but I think you'll enjoy it.

Played it about 4/5 years ago in a RAF Comp - was brutal wind that day and no protection just beat everyone up and can't remember too much about the course at all - but can remember the wind.

Was fortunate enough to play 27 holes on a freebie due to me raising a few quid for the captains charity. Anyway it was the first time in a long time I had played a big boys course. It kicked my butt, but I enjoyed it.
If I had to give one bit of advice, buy a course guide

I'll enjoy it even if it pulls my pants down, I've played in sevre wind at Silloth & Hayling, so although it might be brutal on a windy day, we'll have the craic 👍

Great course, played a few years ago thought it was great. There's a par 3 early on, maybe 3rd?
It was a 4 iron on day 1 & 9 iron the day after. madness !

Fairways have recovered really well since they lost a lost in the tidal surge two years ago, I have played it 3 times this year and it's been in really good nick each time.

Played it during storm frank a few weeks ago and it was borderline unplayable. Front 9 was brutal.
