Theres a lot of honesty at a golf club, clubs left unattended etc its an honour between players thats this lot took advantage of.Bit suprised that some members at clubs didnt suss them out as none golfers. Its just takes a few questions if somebody looks suspect.
I have just done a locksmith course ( not my main occupation just something to earn a few extra quid in retirement ) and it would be fairly easy to instal a card entry system so that only bona fide people can access certain areas . It costs some money but then again so does the lock on our front doors.
Clubs do need to up their game and offer a room for visiting clubs to put their gear in that is secure but maybe separate from other areas.
Tie em to the 100 yard marker at the range and let everyone take aim
They would be pretty safe from most of us! Maybe put them short of and 30 yards right of the 100 yard marker.
We do have a swipe card system on all access doors for members, but their is a pin code for visitors that is changed daily so they can also use the changing rooms/locker room, whilst that may seem to be a safety measure, its far from secure. Maybe a card like a hotel uses for rooms that is programmed and given to visitors daily would be better, it would act also as an ID card as such and would need to be shown when asked?
