Looking to get a but of custom work done on a squareback, it has a god awful red cross on the back of it with other red areas. Basically, I want them all turned blue...

So, anyone know where to get this done where good work meets good rates?

Cheers

I love that putter but there is no way that I'd buy it ... I admire your honesty but hurry up and get it painted.

it would be pretty simple to do yourself if you fancied taking the plunge. use nail polish remover and a cotton bud to get rid of the red. any model shop will have a range of paint colours for you to pick from and apply paint carefully with a cocktail stick. wipe off excess with the nail polish remover.

probably far less hassle than paying postage for a club there and back plus fee for the work.

i changed the paint fill on my irons and scotty putter.
i painted on some paint stripper and left it for 30 or so minutes then wipped it down with nail polish remover.
for the paint i use either tamiya model paint or nail varinsh - having 3 girls means having plenty of choice.
get some small art brushes and off you go!

I agree with Broadus, do it yourself, it's pretty easy to do. Just don't rush it. This is a putter I did for someone.

Pretty sure the red cross is part of the anodised aluminium base plate, so needs to be removed, stripped and anodised whatever colour you want.
Not quite as simple as nail polish remover and some paint.

another vote here for the putter room.
knowing Peter personally [he is a member of my club] i can vouch for his work having seen many of his creations first hand . he really does a fantastic job. very professional.

I felt inspired after reading this thread so had a go this afternoon at replacing the paint fill on my scotty. Pretty easy if you take your time.

Was all red before but most had fallen out, now blue and grey combo...
