Something I can't believe we haven't actually had yet!

Interested to see which way GM does actually sway. Probably best to leave the arguing and debating in the other thread!

Not sure we're a representative sample on here, nevertheless it's neck and neck.

What is interesting, and not surprising given the mood up here, is that nobody who has a vote isn't voting or doesn't care.

That's how it feels but they're saying a turnout of 80% might happen as if we should be impressed by that, 95% and I'd be impressed - what we don't need is one side coming in with 51% majority whilst 20% of those eligible didn't vote. Everyone's vote actually counts in a 2 horse race with no votes for parties or for people, just a yes or a no, and so even those who are indifferent should at least make the effort this once for the sake of a genuinely democratic result....imo.

Scotland votes no but gets more devolved powers
Scotland votes yes and gets more powers

A big difference?...not from where I'm looking.

I have no vote but I have voted yes.
I do, however, have some major reservations about Scotland gaining independence.
Firstly why is it only residents of Scotland have a vote on something that has such huge implications on the rest of the union.
If Scotland is going to be so incredibly wealthy following independence why are so many major financial companies ready to jump on a plane south of the border after a yes vote?
One of the arguments being branded about on the news for a yes vote was Scotland has not voted for a Tory government but are ruled by one from another country. If that is the case then Cornwall should be granted independence as we have not voted for a Labour government but have been ruled by one from another country (if you ask the locals) for years. Is that really a reason to vote yes?
Whatever the vote half the country will be disappointed!

On note of social interest.
It shows golf in Scotland is much more for 'the people', it crosses all social, class, creed and sexual boundaries.
I have a hunch that the OP posted this thread with the hope of seeing massive support for the NO's
