Anyone going? Anyone been to one there in the past? Is it a good course for spectators? Easy for parking?

We're looking to go on Sunday.

I'll be there on Thursday with my boy, hopefully get the hospitality on the Sunday if my Dad comes up with the goods 😂😂
Easy to get to and plenty of parking, plenty of good spectating points as well, really good field this year as well.

been the last 3 times it was at CS, its reasonable spectator wise, though you don't get that close to the players, except between greens and tee.

parking wise its good if the weather is fine, as you park in farmers field, and the last 2 times it was there i got out OK.

i usually go on the Thursday as i only work around the corner. not sure yet if I'm going this year yet, we did some promo work for the European tour and they promised me some tickets, which have not materialised :(

I went in 2011, parking good and close, viewing is pretty decent imo, lots of natural vantage points. Practice area and separate putting area are very accessible for watching too. You can stand next to the clubhouse entrance path and see your 'heroes' pass only a yard away. I stood only 2 or 3m from PhilMick teeing off on the 3rd I think, so you can get close to players on some tees. 14th green is good for watching, not far to walk from entrance and quite a tough approach to get close and its a bit of an amphitheatre with clear views back up teh fairway so good for viewing...imo.

was down meeting some one and saw Thomas Bjorn and Matt Fitzpatrick... who looks about 12;)

saw a rather swanky looking private jet on the apron, so could have been Phil

Went along to the pro-am this afternoon, really good atmosphere at the course.
Followed Phil and Luke Donald, Luke looking like he's hitting the ball well, got on the green in 2 on the 600 yard par 5, hole 12, Driver (M2) then a Hybrid or wood.
Phil was Just Phil, made everything look easy 😀

On another note my wee boy hit a few balls using that Godolphin clubs, he was getting them in the air and swinging them easily, he's only 5, I've got clubs for him all ready but might invest in these for him, anyone used these for their kids?

just looks like a normal day on the links to me, these boys don't know what windy is if they think this is tough

went to the club last night and bumped into Nicolas Colserts and Marcel Siem who were just heading out to play.

what a nice guy Marcel is, on TV he seems a bit petulant, but what a gent, he chatted away was very friendly and even suggested a photo with each of us.

Nicholas on the other hand.... lets just say Smiffy would like him:rofl:

HI mate, my eldest little girl is 5 too and ive been looking at the Golphin for Kids stuff online. Looks great !!! I think i'll take the plunge !!! Might be worth starting a new thread to gauge an opinion ???

Glad to see no-one's tearing it up today, decent test by the look of it with some wind about. Poor Korean guy Jeong propping up the field has had two 8's on the back 9 in a score of 88, bit embarrassing for the lad I imagine.:o

Is Wayne Riley exaggerating about this wind? 50mph.. No chance.
I don't watch a lot of Golf but I'm enjoying this, great memories of playing CS.
Got to get back up there one day. They've just shown a nice shot over to Fortrose & Rosemarkie GC with the Dolphins just off the point.

Edit.. Radars really getting carried away now.. 60mph

forecast says 20-30mph....

I hate the word 'oscillating' and the stupid rule about ball moving on the green...

It just took someone about 10min to take a put!!!!!!!
