Not sure if this has been mentioned before but feel it's unfair or legal that women are allowed in for free to the show !

I could be wrong and hopefully the lady golfers on the form can comment on this but why should they be given exception to this rule when our female friends are as keen on golf as the rest of us?

I appreciate kids free etc as the cost can be expensive and it might encourage them to enjoy the game ( just like the open have been doing)

I got two free tickets sent to me today- they must be struggling with sales this year.

I just won tickets through Ping on twitter, but unfortunately can't go. I went one year when the free tickets were good course, but haven't been back since. Unless your in the market for some new clubs or buying some stuff I don't think the show is that great.

I do agree. I went to the one in Belfast and it was pretty terrible. Loads of clubs trying to sell rounds and advertise their membership etc. And all of them doing raffles and spin to win things which were £5 a go for most of them! Managed to win a family ticket for 4 round a pitch and putt.. Safe to say that was never used.

Literally had to pay for everything and it wasn't cheap at all. They had a closest to pin which was £5 for 3 shots, the closest was 1 ft away when I got to it so didn't really see the point!

The only good thing was the wee shop, they were selling off a lot of clothes for very cheap and I picked up a few bargains. I did try out a Ping driver in the fitting bay but the sessions were 10 mins long, was hardly worth it to be honest as I would never buy the club after trying it for 10 mins.

If you were looking for a society day or a new membership or even some clubs it would most likely be worth going. AG were doing good deals on clubs, they had the Ping G30 driver for £219 when in their shop it was £249 and the cheapest they could go was £235.

I agree, no way should women be getting free entry, rediculous.
I haven't been for a few years as I thought it was pretty rubbish, like a big massive golf eBay, even the choice of courses now is pretty dire.
I might go along for a nose on Friday as I'm in the area and off work.
Can you only book 3 different courses with the advance ticket options? I'd like to book the machrihanish twice but not sure if that's allowed.

My letter said that 500 Bunkered subscribers had "won" free tickets.

you needed to prebook the tickets to get the courses.

I already purchased my tickets to get the free rounds, but received the same letter as you with two free tickets, so now I've ended up with 3.

If it's anything like the London one that was at Bluewater the other year, I probably wouldn't bother unless it was free and I was already planning to be in the immediate vicinity.
