Hi

Has anyone ever been to it? Is it any good or bobbins like the Manchester one last year?

They have put on some potential offers with your ticket entry, namely a free round of golf and some golf balls etc and it is being held at the SEC in Glasgow so a decent venue

cheers

Normally disappointingly naff, but with some reasonable offers to play.

Still, sort of, worth going to if convenient and in the hope that it might be better than the last year, but normally no loss giving it a miss if it clashes!

Used to be worth it for the free golf vouchers, but it was very poor last year in Edinburgh, worse than the previous year in Glasgow. I've still got two of my vouchers from last year to use.

The free golf aside, I only went along to get a hit of the PING equipment ahead of my later fitting that came courtesy of GM.

The free lessons are impossible to get unless you're within the first 20 or so people through the door. I got into the last show five minutes after it opened, and couldn't get a slot until 4.15pm... there is no way you could spend a full day at the show, and you can't pass out and come back later.

Queues to try the latest equipment can be lengthy, and then you have to endure the hard-sell of the reps. The Callaway rep at the last show almost got a skelp in the mouth for his persistence, chasing me down the aisle after I'd had a hit with the new Big Bertha, which I didn't like.

I'm giving it a miss this year I think.

I'm going to my 1st one this year! Even if it's cack £14 for 3 rounds of golf is a good deal- want to try a few different courses this year so happy with that. would also like to try out a few different drivers so will check what I thinks best.

If its run by the people that do the "London" golf show, I would check its actually in Scotland, as the London golf show wasn't even in London last year..

Last time I went the show wasn't very good no great deals on and there were restrictions on the free rounds of golf given away. Plus I believe the free rounds have been on a progressively worse range/choice of courses each year. Not worth going to.

Went once at the SECC. Absolute crap. American Golf outlet sold gear that was fine if you were 2xl or larger. Queues a mile long, overpriced food and drink and for that reason Im out. Never again even with free baws and golf.

Awww naw looks like I've wasted 14 bucks. Picked Brunson castle(father said it's decent) gleddoch and bearsden GC's so if anyone knows if these are decent let me know.
