This deserves a thread.

Young lad from England has came north and conquered the tournament in style.

Hugh Adams shot an incredible -10 round of 62 at Newmacher yesterday to lead by 9 shots going into today's final round. Absolutely incredible golf from one so young. Regardless of what tees were used yesterday ( I don't know what tees they played from) it's some score, Newmacher isn't an easy course by any stretch of the imagination. It's long, greens are usually fast and tricky and has water.

It really is tremendous shooting. Young lad must have a bright future.

yep great score around there as you say.

i think a couple of the kids from Narn were playing, though i think all the really low ones are now over 14

Indeed! I scored better at RA - even in a 'solid breeze'!

Neither were near Par, let alone that U14's score!!

The England U14 champs were played at a local club the other week they played off the back tee's and shot some low scores.

The winner of the England boys was a 14 year old french lad, he was a beast of a boy and towered over his competitors. He had a driver swing speed of 125mph, and a short game to match. He was 6 under first day. Even the smaller kids were unbelievably good though.
