Scotland win tonight

Yes, sail away with Anya......where the hell did we find him from.
Class act playing for Watford???
I quite like the two big centre halfs they seem to be growing in confidence and work well together.
Maloney and McArthur look good in the middle and I have always rated Naismith.

Wee Gordy has them working as a unit, the future looks a lot brighter than a year ago.

Yes the game had a certain Orinoco flow to it, but that was Enya.

Looking up on Anya's past I see he could have chosen to play for Rumania, Nigeria, England and Scotland.
Played with Russel Martin at Wycombe then joined the Glen Hoddle Academy.....thanks Glen!

In little Britain maybe.

Tell who's better?

Lampard?Cannae last 90 minutes and cannae defend
Gerrard? As above, plus his tactical knowledge is a joke for someone of his calibre
Ramsay? Possibly, but he'll need to continue his improvement
Wilshere? Mibbe in a year or two, but right now?Nope.
Carrick?Well, he can't get a game ahead of Lamps/Gerard/Milner/Barry etc

so just because Brown plays in Scotland don't dismiss it...he bossed England's midfield recently and he continues to do the job for Celtic in Europe.

I also know for a fact that top English clubs have tried to buy him more than once, he's told them to bolt each time.If you are aware of his family history recently you'll understand why.

Just for a kick off, Lampard cant defend right?

Who was supposed to be marking Lambert at Wembley when he headed in the winner?

That's right Scott Brown

As for the rest of the crap you have put next to the other players, your having a giraffe

Brown was the stand out midfielder in the Scotland v England game.
Anyone who did not spot that needs to visit specsavers or watch both sides at a match..

I agree. He stood out as the guy who lost the game for his team by letting his man go and score the winner.

Birchy did you watch any other parts of the game?

He won the ball countless times, in fact I don't think I have seen an England match when they lost control of the ball going forward more than that first half.

Yes I did. He had a decent game but nothing overly special. He won a few challenges as he usually does playing for Scotland as they don't often have much possession in games.

Winning a few challenges doesn't make you a special footballer though does it? What about other aspects of his game? He rarely scores, he cant beat a man with skill, dead ball specialist? , Creating chances?

That's the type of skill level that he is being compared against.

He's a hard worker who will give his all but he lacks skill. before him I would pick from - Darren Fletcher [when fit],James Morrison, Barry Bannan, Liam Bridcutt, Charlie Adam, Chris Commons, James McArthur, Shaun Maloney, Barry Ferguson [if he ever came back] Anya in midfield[he would do a job anywhere]All are eligible to play for Scotland , and would be in my team before Scott Brown.

Scott was indeed marking Lambert, was just after we had made a sub and the defence was in disaray...he took responsibility to not leave him free.It was an error on his part, the coaches part and well utilised by England.

Having a giraffe, good debating skills, congrats.

Strachan will base his entire team around Scott, and for good reason.Fletch is done, seriously doubt he'll play for Scotland again.I like Bannan,McArthur and Anya, but all play a slightly different role in the team, but i'm sure you know that too.Same applies to Molony.Charlie Adam is a huddie of epic proportions with a very good left foot, struggles to play for Stoke when Scott is bossing Pirlo about.

Ferguson in his pomp was better than Brown, but Ferguson in his pomp was something special.Charlie Adam, ffs man, cmon!

I'll lay my cards on the table, though.I had the pleasure of watching Scott develop as a footballer and it gives me alot of pleasure to see him where he is now.Take into consideration his injury problems and his personal problems and its a delight to see him being a narky wee scrote, even if he does play for Celtc.
