I think it has now become traditional to create a wee montage of events at this annual matchup.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kP8L1VnhWs

Once again a great two days of the finest golf and banter.

My personal highlights were;-

Teeing off first once again and happily making it well past the ladies tee with room to spare this time. I'll gladly pass on that baton to Murph for the next 12 months although I'm not at all happy that someone commented that he'd "done a Findlay" after his tee shot on day two. That's not a phrase I'd like to see enter the English language as an established description of the nervous top. Honestly. You shag one sheep.

SS2's Poulteresque celebration of a winning putt on the 18th on day one. Classic. Who says these games don't mean anything? The first thing he said when he came off the green was that Fraser was useless for getting beat 10&8 last year! Ah, revenge against IM01 must have been sweet indeed.

Wreaking revenge upon Vig for last year's defeat on the last. Cushty. SS2 helped a little, though. He and StuartD were top partners. Ham and eggs.

Dodger's dad announcing "On the tee AGAIN for Scotland...Allan Rodger" Only a father could get away with it. And top marks to him for pointing out the OOB pointedly to all the English boys on the first. Partisan? Moi?

Thanks again to DCB for organising a great and very close event. Just came down to that last game at the end. Oh, what could have been.

Thanks also to Viscount, Grumpy, Vig and Century for the grand company. Top opponents and great spirit.

Until next time. Hope you enjoy.

;)

Just come next time, Homer. I was too busy beating Englishmen (or drinking Jack Daniels) to get all the best bits!

I can imagine you'd be a top scalp for us Jocks. Form an orderly queue, gentlemen.

You look as though your swinging it well John.

Glad to see all had a great time.

Murph - is that swing a made up version of stack'n'tilt or what?

Great video of a great couple of days.

Here's to next year and hopefully many more years after that

(though if anyone at GM is reading we could really do with a trophy or a bigger supply of cheese)

Great stuff John.Loved the SS2 celebration!

For any PC nerds out there, why has it taken me 20 mins to watch an 8 min video?? Is it my PC that is pish and making it stutter all the time and if so how do you rectify it?

Edited to say I have watched it again without a glitch....It'll been all the millions trying to access it at the same time that caused the problem.

It's the download speed that's the problem, not the pc. If you're wireless you could plug in an ethernet cable and go wired, that will speed things up.
Otherwise upgrade or change your broadband provider.

Just realised we didn't get the team photos this year. Schoolboy error. Must remember next time. Won't have much to give to the Forum pages by way of photos this time unless anyone took some sneaky ones.

If anyone wants to download the video to watch at their leisure (or just watch it in better quality cos' YouTube is rubbish) it's here too;-

No offence, Andy, but are you just gonna tease us with a photo of the stilton. It's like Angelie Jolie on the radio? There's nothing in it for us.

:( :(

I love the fact that someone got cheese as a prize. Does it feel like you're part of a Wallace & Grommit film?

My swing fell apart months ago, and I have not refound it yet. Going to get the vcr out from February and see what the flip I should be doing. Looks like a job for the winter.

Canny believe I missed this photo of El Capitano out of the video. It was in there at first.

Not quite sure what's going on in the right buttock department there but it produced good leg action!

Ah the tension of the first tee. Murph, Richard Innes and Madandra with Dodger's pa' who was Ivor Robson for 2 days again. It must be offputting knowing you have to play a man confident enough to play in those colours, Andy?

...and yet GrumpyJock pretty much played in his pants both days, Chris!

I kept asking him on day 1 if he was cold and he just looked at me like I was speaking Polish. I haven't worked out yet whether he's really hard or just bewildered.

The hipflask might have had something to do with it, right enough!
