Played with a boy on Tuesday night that put his 7 iron past my driver, he was hitting it 250+ consistantly. He hits most of his clubs a distance but he says he cant hit his 3 iron as far as this, just seems to get perfect contact. Quite amazing to watch

Expect if hes hitting it that far hes delofting it a fair bit, would explain why he struggles to hit the 3 iron as far too

Anyhow, whos putting the popcorn on

What was the carry distance. I do not include roll out when judging yardage with irons.

No it wasnt a Taylor made, didnt look like he was delofting but wasnt paying that much attention to his ball position. This was carry as fairways are soft and the balls aren't rolling, he plays off 6 and if he could putt he would probably be scratch. If I hadnt seen it myself I wouldn't have believed it

wow

someone who's probably too long for this forum, as opposed to the majority who just feel inadequate discussing length here

interested in the physics behind this, pick a fairly standard loft AP2 7 iron at 34*, what launch angle and ball speed would be required for this distance?

Have we got a spitting water on screen smiley please , ? ?? ???? anyone ?

Wont doubt your word mate but "carry" ?? well ill be a dog howling at the moon on a foggy night ha

Once it a 64 degree lob wedge close to 150 yards, caught it a bit thin, air mailed the green I was going for, hit a wall, ricocheted high into he air and onto the downslope of the 2nd fairway, which it rolled down a good distance. I needed my 8 iron to get back to the green I was aiming for originally.
