As the old song goes,

Sun is shinin' in the sky,
There ain't a cloud in sight
It's stopped rainin'.....

Its the best saturday of the year here in Edinburgh so far. Its bright, sunny, dry, a little breezy but that will help dry the ground out a bit.

I'm off to the kids course at Kings Acre with my daughter this morning, she's been on the range with me a lot since new year and is dying to try it out on the course (just like her dad!) With a bit of luck I'll manage to avoid the Welsh masacre of the Scottish rugby team this afternoon by getting out for a round at my own course. I cant wait.

Hope the weather is kind and that you guys can get out on the course this weekend. It really is a beautiful day today. The sort that makes you want to get out there!

its not so blue in cheshire but is still lovely outside, Kinda wish i had set up a game now. O well of too pub to drink instead.

Hope all who play have a good day!

Yes it is and i am stuck in the house.

Car got kept in the garage yesterday due to electrical problems. Peugeot French piece of s^%t. Waiting for a call to get it later today. Hope to get out this afternoon. Not had a club in my hand since October. Seriously need to get out before we head of to Rosemount

Playing the Burnside this afternoon.
Feeling quite good about the day.
Will obviously be back on crying and whimpering later on tonight now I've said that.

Weather is great up here around 14deg's and sunny, I am just back from playing 18 shot 79 with two 7's on the front 9 so am well chuffed.

Played 9 today in our winter league, it was lovely and sunny (with plenty of wind!). 19 points with a poor start and finished with birdie par birdie. With my slightly tweaked swing and putting with my eyes fixed on the hole, today was a joy to play rather than the usual uncertainty over scoring.

It's lovely and sunny down here in S. Wales but as I am working 12 hour nights it might as well being raining as I have no hope of a game until Monday afternoon and who knows what the conditions will be. As for the egg chasing don't worry I would rather be golfing than watching them.

Well, managed to take my daughter to the kids course as planned this morning. A bit wet underfoot in places, but otherwise it was great to be out. I also managed to get to play at my own club this afternoon, again, nice to get out. The course was realy quiet so I was able to play 2-3 balls round the front nine. Enough to blow the cobwebs off a bit. Here's hoping that we are past the worst of the winter. The gound could do with a few days like this to help dry it out a bit.

Hope you had as good a day as I did.

I'm no playing you for money at Blair ;)

Nearly had a full course today, 2 temporary greens so not too bad. 39 points just managing to scrape into the buffer with a CSS 4 below par!! Its a tough life.

Ventured out at 4 for an hour.
All greens in use, just played 5 holes. Very definitely rusty. Slicing some drives but not too bad.
Played a 6 iron off the 2nd hole and shanked 2 balls in succession!
Got one onto the green, the other on the fringe.
Putted the first ball, not bad. Pitched the 2nd to within 6" of the hole. Well stoked! Just continued practising pitching onto the green then from various distances. Majority were excellent shots. Well pleased, my confidence soared. Chipping around the green is definitely now the strongest part of my game.

That's a good round, Toad. Well played, sir. Handicap committee review for Blairgowrie!

Was dying to get out today. As DCB said, it was the best day for a long time up here, but just bought a flat yesterday so spent all day stripping wallpaper. Joy oh joy. It's all in the timing, you know. :D

Thanks J_F think the 2 chip in's helped tidy it up and the short game was the best it has been for a while.

Lovely weather here - played 16 holes as course busy - we sneaked round some kind of society group. 14 degrees when we finished around 2pm. Messed up on the eighteenth but stil a damn fine day - (hey, who mentioned the rugby?- better Wales than the Auld Enemy, I suppose, but can't say I hold out much hope for us against any team right now).
