Went into ASDA today to get some thunderbirds toys for young Bradley Tash. Coz it's inset days plus half term, the toy aisle is rammed with mums who would sooner be at work and excited kids. One kid must of been doin his mums head in coz suddenly she snapped. She shouts at the ? Four year old kid who is sat in the trolley chair " you see that CCTV camera " pointing to the ceiling, it's goes straight to the North pole and Santa is watching it and all the other cameras, and if he sees any children including you" and points at he kid. " Then you will get no presents off Santa, now behave and shut up". The poor kid looked mortified and spent the next thirty seconds looking up at the ceiling. I was wetting myself laughing, but surely you can't tell porkie pies when Santa is involved.

Santa knowing about naughtiness is every parents perfect threat. Genius from the woman. I would have applauded her.

Just think about that last sentence for a moment and see the irony.

One of my colleagues tells his kids the PIR's in the corner of his dining room and lounge are linked back to Santa. "You can tell when he's listening coz they flash red." Priceless!!

Had to stop the red light on the movement sensor thing as our 3 yo grandson started avoiding rooms that had one and was beginning to show signs of paranoia about it, always thought it was cruel anyway..

I actually like her style

I think her parenting is terrible.

"Behave and shut up"? I wouldn't dream of speaking to my little lad like that.

Let them scream and throw tantrums that spoil others experience in the name of giving them the freedom to express themselves. Do me a favor!

I hate all this talk and reason with kids rubbish. IMO that is what is going wrong in the world today, kids do not have any respect for authority and doing what they are told. I'm not in the slap the crap out of them brigade either, but if I tell my kids to stop doing something then they do it. They know the punishment that is ahead of them, no Iphone to play Pokemon go and the power cord removed from the Xbox. Infact my 12 year old goes into a fit if he is playing up and I go to the stairs because he knows I'm going to take his Xbox away. He starts apologizing straight away, behaves himself and asks me nicely not to take it away.
