I own a 56 which many would consider to be a traditional sand wedge loft

80 yds is a comfortable controlled distance for me

a bit less this time of year

so what's your loft and how far ?

Mine is a 56, this moment in time its 110 carry, summer months its 120/125 carry.
I don't use it in the sand tho, use a 60° for green side bunkers.

From game golf the average for my Icy wedges are
52* is 115
55* is 100
58* is 85

so 15yd difference between each club

56 with 13 deg of bounce, principally for getting out of bunkers and full shots between 70-95. chip with it sometimes as well.

i find if i try and hit this full out it spins too much.

I work on a baseline of 85 yards carry. That's full swing.

Its also my favourite club for chipping around the green. wouldn't leave home without it.

Full swing one bounce and in yesterday. :swing:

PW 46* is 100
Gap 52* is 80
SW 58* is 60

These aren't full out and I try not to swing too hard with these clubs to control accuracy. I can change distances by +/-10 yards or so with ease if I need to but I prefer not to have to manipulate shots too often and trying to keep it simple
