I have a Samsung S7, works well and I like it. I am coming to the end of my current deal and it looks as though I can get an S9 for slightly less than my current deal for an S7. Is there much of a difference between the 2? Anyone have an S9? What do you think?

The alternative is to keep the S7 and go sim only. I'm okay with that but I also know that phones are not designed to last long term and the memory will no doubt start to fill and slow down. Oh yes, a new one is shiny as well :D

Before anyone mentions it, I like Samsung, am familiar with the layouts etc. I am sticking with them.

I have the S9, also moving from the S7. More than happy with it. Seamless change, and a few added features/refinements.

A downside; its big and slippery. Suggest you go to a shop and see if it fits your hand.

My S7 is an Edge which also makes it slippery. First thing I did when I got my S7 was order a Spigen case to both protect it and stop me from dropping it constantly. It was £12 well spent. If I get the S9 I will do the same.

I have mine in a Snakehive suede and leather wallet case. Excellent quality.

I went from a 7 edge, to a 9 plus. Nice phone, and a step up in terms of screen size, without being much different physically.

Definitely worth it, like others I have the Note 9. The camera is very good as is the battery life.
You can pick up an S9 with no up front charge with 9gb data and unlimited calls etc. for about £26 a month. My lad is about to order one.

I've been contemplating the S9 for a while myself, currently with an S6 which is still perfectly fine but think or hoping an S9 will come cheapish with the 10 being out.

Note 9 here too, got it on Amazon past week for 640, now £585, buying outright then going sim only contract might work out better.
Note 9 has a 4000mah battery, android 9 and the S pen which is pretty handy for jotting spur of the moment notes without even having to unlock the screen. I was one of the early adopters back when the original mote came out and got laughed at for having a Dom Jolly phone. I have had it, the note 2, note 4, note 7, S7 Edge(only changed due to N7 recall)) and missed the pen) note 8 and note 9.

Why not get the S10 mate? Supposed to be a cracking phone, it’s what I’ll be getting when I swap my iPhone 7 in the next few months.
I need to check the pricing on the S10. The S9 is a bit of a bargain right now because of the 10. I don't use the clever bits of a phone enough to justify top end pricing so I need to see what the difference is between the two of them. The reviews do rave about the 10 but a lot of what is good about it may be wasted on me.
