Sam Goulden 'square to square swing'

Hi chaps,

I was wondering if anyone had seen his vids on YouTube and had any thoughts on his method?

I think Just One used one of these videos in a post a while ago and I stumbled on it from that.

I've done a bit of research and have found the original square to square swing was around in the 60's/70's but died a death as it caused more issues than it was worth. This method is different in a few ways but would it work?

This is very similar to how i swing....... My Pro is trying to get me to do... for want of a better phrase the roll thing in the back and through swings but i actually cant get into those positions...... Im much more comfortable doing what Sam is advocating here......

Every Pro has his own way of swinging but the one thing that i see from this video that some might argue against is that the clubface really isnt shut as such.... Its actually square to the spine angle which is square to the swing plane..... So as Sam is saying its essentially a rotation of the shoulders back and through.....

Its probably why my iron game gets good remarks from people i play with..... Iv yet to master the driver with this swing though..... Ill get there..

It's not the same swing.... he named it without knowing there was already a swing of the same name :thup:

I was the one that used his video in a recent thread regarding wrist hinge. I like what he says on a number of golf swing issues.

Whoops...sorry chaps.

I like what he explains. I've tried it with my irons and they work very well. I can't get the driver working consistently using this method yet.
