hi guys, just to let you know if you live in the area i got a text from direct golf about a trade price sale day tomorrow and sunday at direct golf in doncaster (i live in leeds but work in doncaster)my mate went last year and picked up some real bargins, stuff starting at £5!! im after a cart bag myself, does anyone have any suggestions as to which to buy?

I went to have a look a few months ago at one of these "so called" marquee sales.

Not a lot in the way of bargains tbh. Mainly a case of dragging out all the old crap they've never sold in the hope that some newcomers to the game will be tempted to buy totally out of date ancient Yonex drivers and woods etc etc.

Amazing how so many of DG's alleged "Sales" comprise of stuff priced up at the same price they normally sell at.

Yes, they do charge extra for headcovers, they say it includes an extra 12 month warranty as well. I bought my Odyssey putter at the internet price including the headcover foc as I said I was a member of the website......simples!!!!!

well i went guys and your right, mainly old crap dragged out to get rid, though there was some nice full sets of irons (i.e taylormade r7 draws £200) and i got one back on them with the headcover, i found a cleveland hibore 19 deg hybrid, new with no headcover £40, so i nipped in store and found the headcovers in the cleveland section, matched it up and slipped it on, bargin!! and what a club, used it sunday at my local hit 200 off fairway so worth the money :) theres another marquee day at huddersfield this weekend, but if you want the bargins (the few they do have) you gotta be there early doors, good luck guys
