Ryder Cup

This is a bit premature but with the selection of Clarke today, who should he choose as vice captains? I know there are some who may be in with a shot of playing or being a vice but just for interests sake.

Working on the premise of 4-

Jimenez, Westwood, Torrance and Bjorn would be my choices

Jimenez, Bjorn, Levet and Harrington. I think we need to include a Frenchman as the next home Ryder Cup is in Paris and it would help hugely to have one as part of the backroom team there. This would be a good introduction.

Levet may be a good option with Paris in 2018 but not sure about him from a Ryder Cup experience point of view. I would think there is probably more chance of westwood being out the team than in, unless he gets a wildcard. Not sure about Monty, I don't think he could galvanise much at all.

If Poulter wasn't in the team I would want him as a vice though also. Remain hopeful that he will be playing though.

Harrington, Des Smyth, Westwood, Jimenez would be the ones I'd choose. Don't think Westwood will make the team and won't justify a captain's pick other than his friendship with Clarke

Westwood and Poulter will be 2 of them, not sure who else, kind of depends on how a few of the elder statesmen are playing at the time.
