just been looking at the ryder cup ticket prices on their website

practice day Tuesday/Wednesday £35

practice day Thursday £45

Friday/Saturday £120

sunday £145

6 day season ticket£500

and that doesn't include the booking fee!

and the park and rides another £20!

such a shame to see them cashing in and blatantly ripping people off

looks like i'll be watching on sky

I agree, I was really up for it until I saw the prices. My mate said lets do it but I won't as I think they are just taking the p out of it. £500 for the week. I out!

Not only due to the cost, but as the crowds will be huge to watch 4 tee off times the best place will be on HD TV.

On saying that I intend to go to a practice day to see the 'stars' and savour the atmosphere.

Exactly what we're doing!

Going up to watch the Thursday, and then over the weekend enjoying a few of Scotlands courses, followed by a Whisky or two watching the Ryder cup on the TV. £48 for the thursday, not too bad to see a lot of big names!

Straight after Medinah I thought I am not going to miss it next time...

Even without knowing the money I cant help but think why don't I just sit on my sofa with a crate in the fridge and plenty of commercial breaks to releave myself!

If I went to a golf event it would be one where I sat at a hole like the 17th at Sawgrass and watched them all come in. I would hate following one match when there are so many I would want to see... It wouldn't be fun to miss important moments of the event I have paid alot to see only to have to watch it at home afterwards to catch up!

I really wanted to go to this, but those prices have put me off. Its not even just the ticket prices its the travel and accommodation which is likely to go up in price just cos of the Ryder cup.

I'd rather go to the Dunhill links or the Scottish open and spend less money and see more golf.

I'm playing there today- I'm going to judge what the Pro's and a few others are saying about it all

For an event where there are limited matches to watch at any given time, it's not being held at the most spectator friendly venue IMO. There are parts of that course that just can't handle the numbers who'll be wanting to see the action.

Far better watching on TV, at least you won't get too wet... after all, it will rain at some stage of the proceedings.. guaranteed ;)
